I’m delighted to announce my new space opera novel THOSE LEFT BEHIND, the first instalment of The Waystations Trilogy, will be published this November!

The Waystations Trilogy is a love letter to all the science fiction that’s inspired me over the years—it’s a space opera filled with wonder and exploration, conflict and violence, adventure and even a little bit of romance. It’s the story I’ve always wanted to write, but it’s only been recently that I’ve felt ready to finally bring it to life.
If you’re looking for a flavour of my kind of science fiction, I’d have to take you back and let you see through my eyes the first time I watched Star Wars on VHS, the first time I booted up my PC to play Knights of the Old Republic. The joy and excitement of discovering the worlds and storytelling of Mass Effect, of feeling at home with the characters of Firefly, of the wonder and intrigue of reading (and watching) The Expanse. Not to mention all the incredible books, short stories and novellas I’ve devoured along the way, particularly over the last few years. It’s that kind of magic, that kind of escapism into impossible worlds with galaxy-spanning stakes and characters larger than life, that makes me want to do what I do.
A dying planet. A desperate mission across the chasm of dark space. A promise to find a new home for humanity.
At its heart, THOSE LEFT BEHIND is a story of new beginnings, of exploring the unknown, of first contact politics and a galaxy on the brink of war. It’s about unlikely friendships and crumbling alliances, about ancient alien technology and the dangers lurking beyond the edges of space.
If you decide to pick up a copy of THOSE LEFT BEHIND when it releases in November, you’ll find a dynamic cast of characters that leap off the page, each with their own fortitude and flaws. You’ll meet ruthless leaders and armoured warriors, world-weary exiles and smugglers with hearts of gold. You’ll join them on their adventures and—I hope—take a part of them with you when it’s finally time to put the book down.
I’ll be revealing more about The Waystations Trilogy soon, including a full description and cover art for THOSE LEFT BEHIND. The second book is already written and the third is well underway, so those of you who worry about series being left unfinished can rest a little easier—the sequels are slated for publication in spring and autumn 2022, respectively.

A huge thank you once again to everyone who has supported me so far by buying a book, leaving a review, reaching out on social media or just sharing words of encouragement. It’s been an incredible journey so far and I can’t wait to take the next step with you all with The Waystations Trilogy.
